This map was created using suggestions from the Federal Writer’s Project and seems to have been made shortly after the first airport was built in the region (then known as the Asheville-Hendersonville Airport), and before any major highways came through the region. This map covers the areas between Fletcher and Marshall (South to North) and Canton and Old Fort (West to East). Each print is hand-coated and created using the cyanotype process on archival watercolor paper and is sized 11” x 17”.
